MOUZ vs Team Liquid Betting Tips – Liquid Expected to Struggle on Day 1 of PGL Masters Bucharest

MOUZ are one of the most in-form and highest-rated teams of the tournament, while Team Liquid are among the biggest underdogs to make a run for the trophy.
Even though Liquid’s roster is not terrible, their form is, as Liquid have yet to make any noise in bigger events and even struggled in some B-Tier tournaments over the last few months.
With defeats against the likes of magic, 100 Thieves, and Ninjas in Pyjamas behind them, Liquid have a lot to prove before anyone can believe they can handle a squad like MOUZ.

MOUZ Are In Great Shape
MOUZ are one of the strongest teams attending PGL Masters Bucharest, and should be considered one of the main title contenders. They’ve been in excellent form of late, with a gold medal from BLAST Bounty Summer and two runner-up finishes from BLAST Open Fall and ESL Pro League Season 24.
MOUZ have had a couple of iffy showings over that stretch, including fifth-eighth at the Esports World Cup and fifth-sixth at StarLadder StarSeries. However, their runner-up finish at the ESL Pro League carries more weight as a more recent tournament run.
MOUZ have been ramping up and look to be in an excellent spot to make a run for the gold medal, especially with Spirit’s form dropping and Vitality having roster issues. That is, as long as MOUZ can continue handling lower-rated teams as well as they’ve been this season.

Team Liquid Have More to Prove
Team Liquid does not have high expectations for this tournament, as they’ve not been present in many higher-rated tournaments this season. Yet even in lesser events, Team Liquid have failed to amaze.
In October, Liquid competed in both 1win Private Club #2 and Stake Pulse Beat III, finishing seventh-eighth and fifth-eighth, respectively. That does not inspire much confidence.
Liquid enter this match with one win from their last five – against JiJieHao – and four defeats against 100 Thieves, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Fnatic, and Magic. Considering Liquid have failed to handle tier-two teams, their chances of beating MOUZ are slim to none.

Verdict
Team Liquid are in very bad shape, and considering they’ve been struggling in B-Tier tournaments in recent weeks, it is hard to believe that Liquid can make it far in Romania.
While Liquid are struggling, MOUZ have been ramping up and are fresh off a runner-up finish at ESL Pro League Season 24.
There is a significant quality gap between the two teams, and it should show on Saturday.
