Invictus Gaming competed in the lower division this split, but that hasn’t stopped them from making a run in the LPL Split 3 Playoffs.

Starting in the lower bracket, IG have left quite an impression, beating Top Esports, Team WE, and LGD Gaming to reach the lower bracket finals, where Invictus Gaming lost to the eventual LPL champions, Anyone’s Legend.

While it is hard to draw clear conclusions, Invictus Gaming looked like one of the best teams in the LPL during the playoffs, and their narrow loss to AL is a good indication that IG has the quality to challenge the best the region has to offer. With players like TheShy, Rookie, and Wei, that is hardly shocking.

IG have great plans early game, and know how to navigate the mid-late game. It is hard to find major flaws with this team.

Invictus Gaming are favourites for this match, which should not come as a major surprise. They handled Top Esports in the LPL Split 3 Playoffs, and have since shown excellent form, proving themselves as one of the league’s top teams.

Top Esports had that tag for most of the split, until they slipped in the playoffs. This wasn’t a good look for them, but realistically, TES are still an elite roster, so you have to have a very good reason to go against them here.
