Texas A&M enters their clash with Kentucky boasting a perfect 2-0 record and a 100% cover rate this season. The Aggies' defense has proven opportunistic, exploiting turnovers and igniting a decisive fourth quarter surge in their last game. Kentucky, coming off their first loss after a second-half collapse against Alabama, face a tough ask on the road. With A&M leading the all-time series and their offense clicking behind Marcel Reed, the recommendation is to back Texas A&M to cover and make it three straight wins.

Texas A&M are tipped to cover as they make it three wins in a row.

The Aggies’ opportunistic defense can take advantage of Kentucky’s carelessness with the football, while Marcel Reed and the offense efficiently put points on the scoreboard.

Kentucky Suffered First Loss Last Time Out

Kentucky head to College Station having suffered their first defeat of the season last time out.

The Wildcats kicked off the campaign with a 45-13 blowout of Youngstown State, before facing their first real test last weekend.

Alabama were the visitors to Kroger Field and it was the home team who went into the break with a 17-13 lead.

However, Kentucky melted down after the interval, giving up 32 unanswered points as they lost 45-17 to the Crimson Tide.

Quarterback Kenny Minchey finished the game 18/31 for 146 yards, one touchdown and one interception, with Daniel Hill putting up 104 yards and a TD on the ground.

Texas A&M Rode Fourth Quarter Surge To Go 2-0

Texas A&M enter this matchup with a perfect 2-0 record, having won their first two games by big margins.

The Aggies opened the season with a shutout victory over Missouri State, running out 50-0 winners against the Bears.

They then followed that up with a 48-20 success against Arizona State last weekend – although the final score did not tell the full story.

Texas A&M led by just four points heading into the final quarter, but returned two picks for touchdowns as they put up 24 unanswered points to seal the victory.

Marcel Reed went 15/25 for 163 yards, three touchdowns and an interception, with two of those scores going to Isaiah Horton.

Verdict

The Aggies defense stepped up when it needed to last weekend, showing its opportunistic side.

That could be the difference against a Kansas team that has an unhealthy knack for turning the ball over.
