The Chicago Bears are tipped to cover the spread in their NFC North showdown with the Minnesota Vikings. Despite an inconsistent defense, the Bears' dynamic offense, led by Caleb Williams and a dominant running game, looks poised for another strong showing after a record-setting win over the Panthers. While the Vikings hold the historical head-to-head advantage, Chicago's recent form against the spread (9 covers in the last 11 games) and home field momentum suggest they are set to succeed again, though the final score may be lower this week.

Chicago are tipped to cover as they win this important NFC North clash.

Caleb Williams was dialled in and the offense ran all over the Panthers in an historic effort last week, and while this Vikings defense will provide more of a test, this Bears group can overcome another underwhelming effort from its defense.

Minnesota Vikings Won Key Division Clash In Week 1

Minnesota head out on the road for the first time this season looking to record another win over a division rival.

The Vikings opened up at home to Green Bay, and despite losing starting quarterback Kyler Myrray that ran out 39-22 winners over the Packers.

Carson Wentz went 12/19 for 133 yards and three touchdowns after Murray got hurt, with Justin Jefferson turning eight of his nine targets into eight catches, 92 yards and two TDs.

The combination of Jordan Mason and Arron Jones combined for 99 rushing yards and a touchdown each out of the backfield.

Over on defense, Andrew van Ginkel registered 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble and recovery, while James Pierre picked off Jordan Love.

Chicago Bears Recorded Record-Setting Win In Carolina

Chicago go into their home opener looking to build on the headline-grabbing Week 1 victory in Carolina.

While the defense struggled, the Bears offense erupted to the tune of 552 total yards and 59 points, as Ben Johnson’s team ran out 59-37 winners.

Caleb Williams went 21/29 for 269 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 65 yards and two further TDs in an impressive display.

Kalif Raymond led the team in receiving with 84 yards off eight grabs, but it was the run game that did the most damage.

D’Andre Swift amassed 124 yards and three touchdowns off 18 carries, while Kyle Monangai rushed for 100 yards and a score of 10 carries.

Verdict

Chicago’s offense was locked in and firing on all cylinders during that Week 1 showing here – but can they deliver again against Brian Flores and this aggressive Vikings defense?

The final total may not be as high, but the Bears can once again lean on the run game, while Williams makes plays when he needs to.
