What is a Lucky63 bet?
The betting term ‘Lucky 63’ refers to the name of a combination bet made up of sixty-three individual bets.
How does a Lucky63 bet work?
This is the largest of the ‘Lucky’ series of combination (also known as ‘system’) bets. The Lucky 15 uses four selections; the Lucky 31 has five selections and this one, the Lucky 63, has six separate selections. The individual bets are 6 singles, 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four-folds, 6 five-folds and 1 six-fold accumulator.
From this bet, you only need one correct selection to see a return from the bookmaker, although (depending on the odds) you usually require three or four winners to make a profit.
As with most combination bets, horse racing tends to be the favoured event for Lucky 63 wagers, but it’s also growing in popularity with football punters as well now. That said, the Lucky 63 can be used on any sport, or mixture of sports.
Why Place Lucky 63 Bets?
The returns on a Lucky 63 can be huge if one or two selections are a little further out in the betting. Our example included a 6/1 shot and a 16/1 chance. The other picks were low odds and all favourites or second favourites.
This is why many punters like Lucky 63 bets. You can return a profit with 3 or 4 short odds selections winning, and if you get “lucky” with more winners, the payouts are very rewarding indeed.
Worked Example of a Lucky 63 bet
It is a very simple bet to understand once you see it in action, so let’s run through how it works and then provide a sample of payouts. It’s important to know that because there are 63 separate bets, your individual stake per bet is multiplied by 63. So, a £1 per bet stake equals a total stake cost of £63.
