Super Heinz Betting Term Meaning
A Super Heinz is a full-coverage combination wager across seven selections. It consists of 120 individual bets: 21 doubles, 35 trebles, 35 four-folds, 21 five-folds, 7 six-folds, and 1 seven-fold accumulator.
The name is derived from the Heinz bet, which is one step down and covers six selections instead of seven. It was named after the famous Heinz foods slogan ‘57 varieties’, as there are 57 individual wagers in a regular Heinz bet.
How to place a Super Heinz bet
Before you place your Super Heinz, you’ll need to choose seven selections and bet on them to win. We’ve gone for these matches from the US Major League Soccer at bet365, but you can bet on pretty much any sport, including horse racing or greyhound racing.
Bet No. | Selection | Odds |
---|---|---|
1 | Chicago to win vs Orlando | 1.75 |
2 | New England to win vs Columbus | 2.40 |
3 | Dallas to win vs LA | 1.66 |
4 | Houston to win vs Montreal | 2.15 |
5 | Salt Lake to win vs Vancouver | 1.70 |
6 | San Jose to win vs Minnesota | 2.40 |
7 | Seattle to win vs Colorado | 1.50 |
When you’ve added your selections to the bet slip, find the ‘combinations’ or ‘system bets’ option and select Super Heinz. It doesn’t matter what order you’ve added your selections in as this is a full-coverage wager.
Your Super Heinz bet will be created as shown, where ‘1x2’ means selection 1 plus selection 2; Chicago to win and New England to win, etc.

Calculating a Super Heinz bet payout
With so many bets in action, it would take a consider amount of time to calculate the payouts using a pen and paper, although that is how it used to be done. The simple way these days is to use an online Super Heinz calculator, which is what we did. This gives us the following output:
- Total payout from 21 doubles: £78.39
- Total payout from 35 trebles: £250.41
- Total payout from 35 four-folds: £477.49
- Total payout from 35 five-folds: £543.48
- Total payout from 6 six-folds: £341.92
- Total payout from 1 seven-fold: £91.74
Using a £1 stake (£120 total cost), the payout would be £1783.43 if all seven selections are correct.
Why place a Heinz bet?
A Super Heinz bet can produce some large returns. Even using seven very conservative selections with odds of 1.10, the payout would still be over £170. If you played six bets at 1.10 and one at 2.7, your return would now be over £300 if they were all winners.
Of course, the downside is the amount of money you have to invest. With 120 wagers to bet on, your total stake is always going to be 120x your per-bet stake, which really adds up.
